Official Giveaway Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

The 1-Year E-Commerce Profit Challenge (“Challenge”) is an initiative led by Sales Savvy Online (SSO) (“Sponsor”) to demonstrate that any e-commerce business can achieve profitability within one year by following a structured growth strategy.

For the purposes of this Challenge, ‘profitability’ is defined as the business achieving a positive net profit over one consecutive month period within the 1-year program duration. Net profit shall be calculated as total revenue minus all direct costs (including but not limited to cost of goods sold, shipping, packaging, and advertising spend). Additionally, any refund amounts are added back to the calculation since they are due to product issues, not advertising.

Profitability will be measured using standard accounting principles and verified through the business’s financial records. The determination of whether profitability has been achieved will be made by Sales Savvy Online based on financial documentation provided by the winner. The winner agrees to provide accurate and complete financial information as reasonably requested to verify profitability metrics.

Sales Savvy Online acknowledges that seasonal fluctuations and market conditions may affect profitability timelines, and the goal of achieving profitability represents a target rather than a guarantee. The sponsor commits to implementing strategies designed to maximise the likelihood of achieving profitability but cannot guarantee specific financial outcomes.

One selected business will receive 12 months of expert-led business growth support at no cost, specifically:

  • Full strategic growth planning tailored to the winner’s business.
  • Hands-on marketing execution including social media management, email marketing, content strategy, and paid digital ads on platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Google.
  • Advertising campaign setup and optimisation (Facebook, Google, and TikTok Ads).
  • Email marketing setup, automation, and optimisation.
  • Website enhancements and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
  • Access to premium marketing tools and software used by SSO throughout the program.
  • Exclusive Community Access.
  • Monthly check-in calls.

However, this does not include operational costs directly tied to running the business, such as:

  • Ad spend (e.g., Facebook, Google, and TikTok ad budgets).
  • Fulfillment and logistics expenses.
  • Website hosting, third-party tools, and software subscriptions (e.g., Klaviyo, Shopify, plugins).
  • Any offline execution costs, such as packaging and inventory expenses.

The SSO team provides expertise, execution, and strategic guidance at no cost, while the winner remains responsible for the essential business costs required to fuel growth. There are no hidden fees or mandatory long-term commitments—this is a fully-backed opportunity designed to scale an e-commerce business with proven methods.

  1. Winner Selection

Phase One: Initial Review & Shortlisting

  • The SSO team will review every application using a scoring system based on five key criteria:
    • Commitment & Readiness: Evaluates whether the founder has the time, mindset, and willingness to actively implement growth strategies over a 1-year period. Evaluates if the founder is proactive with improving their business.
    • Challenges & Storytelling: Assesses how clearly the founder understands their biggest obstacles and whether their story shows a strong personal driver or vision that transformation would genuinely impact.
    • Financial Viability: Looks at whether the business could realistically support growth if scaled — not whether it’s already profitable. This focuses on pricing, margins, and monetisation structure.
    • Transformability: Judges whether the business has strategic blockers that can be fixed with expert support like weak messaging, no funnel, or poor positioning. We are not assessing polish — we’re looking for fixable levers.
    • Leverageability: Assesses whether this business can become a strong case study — one that SSO can showcase to build future credibility, content, and authority.
    • Resource fit: Determines whether the business fits within SSO’s playbook: digital-first, scalable offers, and direct-to-consumer models that benefit from ads, funnels, and email.

  • Each finalist will have a brief introduction video shared with the audience.
  • The public can vote by engaging with the finalist posts on SSO’s social media — commenting on Instagram, and liking, commenting, or sharing on Facebook. Detailed on 7. Public Voting Process.
  • The finalist with the highest combined engagement score across both platforms (votes + interactions) will be declared the winner.

  1. Public Voting Process

The public may participate in the voting process by engaging with the finalist posts only on Sales Savvy Online’s official social media platforms — Instagram and Facebook.

  • Voting Mechanics:
    • Instagram Voting
      • Each comment on a finalist’s official voting post will count as 1 vote.
      • Only one comment per Instagram account will be counted. Additional comments from the same account will not contribute extra votes.
    • Facebook Voting
      • Only reactions (likes) on a finalist’s official voting post will count — each reaction equals 1 point.
      • Each of the 5 finalists will be assigned a unique engagement emoji: 👍 Like, ❤️ Love, 😢 Care, 😂 Haha, or 😮 Wow.
      • Supporters must react using the assigned emoji to cast their vote.

The finalist with the highest total engagement score (combined points across both platforms) at the end of the voting period will be selected as the winner.

  1. Winner Notification & Response Process

The top five (5) finalists will be announced live on Facebook and Instagram on 07 July 2025. Finalists will be required to submit a 1-minute introduction video within three (3) business days to remain eligible.

The winner will be officially posted on social media on 08 July 2025, and contacted directly via the email and phone number provided in their application.

Response Process

The sponsor will make reasonable efforts to reach the winner. If the winner does not respond within five (5) business days, they will forfeit their prize. At that point, the sponsor may select an alternative winner from the shortlisted finalists, either the runner-up with the second-highest engagement or another finalist, as deemed appropriate by SSO. This ensures a fair and efficient process, preventing unnecessary delays in the Challenge.

  1. Data Protection, Privacy & Publicity Consent

All personal and business information submitted during the application process will be used solely for the administration of the Challenge. The sponsor will not sell, rent, or disclose participant information to third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law.

By entering, participants agree to receive Challenge-related communications via email or other provided contact details. Participants may opt out of promotional communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting the sponsor directly.

If selected as the winner, participants consent to publicly sharing their business growth journey, which may include but is not limited to:

  • Monthly case study updates in both written and digital format.
  • Social media engagement, including promotional content, interviews, and testimonials.
  • Marketing materials, such as website features, podcast appearances, and digital advertisements created by the sponsor.

Participants acknowledge and agree that their business information and performance metrics may be collected throughout the program for case study purposes. The Sponsor will take reasonable measures to protect sensitive business information but reserves the right to share aggregated or anonymised data for marketing purposes.

The sponsor reserves the right to use the winner’s name, business name, likeness, and Challenge-related content in marketing materials without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

10. Withdrawal & Forfeiture

If the winner chooses to withdraw from the 1-Year Growth Program, they must notify the Sponsor in writing at least 40 days in advance of their decision.

If a winner withdraws, fails to participate, or does not meet program requirements, they will forfeit their prize, and the Sponsor will initiate the Response Process outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

Once forfeited, the prize cannot be reclaimed, and no compensation or alternative reward will be provided.

If the winner withdraws from the program, Sales Savvy Online retains the right to use any content, case studies, or materials created up to the point of withdrawal for marketing purposes, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

  1. Temporary Pauses or Inactivity

If the winner needs to pause their business or step away temporarily (e.g. holiday, health reasons), they must notify the Sponsor in writing at least 7 days in advance.

Short breaks of up to 2 weeks total during the 1-year program may be allowed, as long as they do not delay agreed timelines or deliverables.

Pauses longer than 2 weeks, or signs that the business is no longer active, will trigger a review by the sponsor. If the business can’t continue, the prize may be forfeited and offered to the next eligible finalist.

SSO reserves the right to reassess the winner’s eligibility if their participation is disrupted or the business becomes inactive.

12. General Conditions

The sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Challenge at any time if necessary. If the selected winner fails to meet the program requirements, an alternate winner may be chosen. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Throughout the program, Sales Savvy Online may develop marketing strategies, content, and materials for the winner’s business. While the winner retains ownership of their existing business assets, any templates, frameworks, or methodologies developed by Sales Savvy Online remain the intellectual property of Sales Savvy Online. The winner receives a license to use these materials for their business but may not resell, distribute, or share these proprietary methods with third parties.

The winner of the Challenge expressly acknowledges and agrees to make available the previously agreed monthly advertising budget set out in their challenge budget tracker for the entire duration of the 1-year program. This financial commitment is a material condition of participation in the program and is essential to ensure the frictionless execution of the agreed growth plan.

The winner agrees to deposit the monthly advertising budget into a designated account or make it available through an approved payment method by the 1st day of each month throughout the program. Failure to make these funds available as scheduled may result in disruption to the growth strategy, potentially compromising the achievement of profitability targets.

In the event that the winner fails to make the agreed advertising budget available for two consecutive months without prior written approval from Sales Savvy Online, Sales Savvy Online reserves the right to:

Suspend implementation of the growth plan until funds are made available;

Modify the growth strategy to accommodate the reduced budget, which may impact projected outcomes;

Terminate the program entirely, with no refund of any fees previously paid by the winner.

The winner acknowledges that the advertising budget is separate from and in addition to any program fees paid to Sales Savvy Online and represents a necessary investment in the business’s growth trajectory as outlined in the agreed growth plan.

  1. Limitation of Liability

By entering the 1-Year E-commerce Growth Challenge, participants agree that SSO and its affiliates are not responsible for any issues, losses, or damages that may arise from:

  • Their participation in the Challenge.
  • Not being selected as a winner.
  • The use or outcome of the prize (business growth support).

In simple terms, SSO cannot be held legally responsible for any negative consequences related to the Challenge, whether it’s technical difficulties, business outcomes, or anything else beyond their control.

Participants acknowledge that business growth outcomes cannot be guaranteed and depend on multiple factors including market conditions, product viability, and participant engagement. The Sponsor provides expertise and guidance but makes no warranties regarding specific business results or revenue increases. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sales Savvy Online from any claims arising from their participation in the Challenge.

  1. Governing Law
